How much are you spending on wedding flowers? What kind of flowers and where do you live?

the general rule of thumb is to spend 10% of your budget on flowers but that can be adjusted to be more tailored to your taste. For example to save some money on flowers you can concentrate on placing the more expensive arrangements to the areas where they will be the most noticed or use candles as centerpieces.

I haven’t booked our florist yet, but for ceremony flowers only (bouquets and boutionniers) I’ve been quoted at $300-$350. That includes the bridal bouquet, six small bouquets for moms and BMs, five boutionniers for groomsmen and dads. The flowers are mostly roses for the bouquets (BM and mom’s bouquets are just five roses).
We’re not having any reception flowers … making our own centerpieces with candles and branches.
The wedding will be in NY, just outside Albany.

I did my wedding at http://www.lakelasvegas.com. It is a lovely resort 20 minutes outside Vegas – we had 60 people – 10 centerpieces – and the flowers for ceremony venue – plus flowers on my cake – I had only one bridesmaid and groomsman. It was a destination wedding. I spent $2000 on flowers – Black magic roses, French Tulips, Gerber Daisies, Hypericum Berries (All Dark Red), with greenery.
My sister-in-law got her flowers from http://weddings.proflowers.com. They were delivered to her door and were lovely and much more affordable. If you want some ideas. They have the prices right there.

It will probably end up being about $750.
That’s for my flowers, groom, 4 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen, 1 best woman, ringbearer, and all the mothers/grandmothers corsages. We are using the bouquets after the ceremony for part of our centerpieces at the reception, so that will save some money. We are making the other centerpieces ourselves.
The flowers are mainly roses, calla lillies, and gerber daisies….all flowers that are in season in my area during the fall.
