Has anyone gotten silk flowers online?

I have decided that real flowers are just waaaay too much money, so I am going to buy silk ones instead. I am disappointed by this, but that’s not the point… Anyway, Has anyone else bought fake flowers online? Where is a good site? I am going to buy them singly first to check the quality before I buy all of them. Any good sites? And also, any sites I should avoid?
If it bothers you so much that I am having fake flowers, would you be willing to give me $700? It will cost me $5 a flower if I get real ones!!!!!

i’m doing glass fish bowl bubble vases with live bettas swimming in them with a few silk flowers in it for my centerpieces, i bought the bowls and blue colored stones from http://www.save-on-crafts.com that might be where i buy the silk flowers too. i didn’t buy the flowers yet because i was not sure what ones to get. they might not have the best reviews online but they were fast, inexpensive and it was packaged really well. they email you tracking number, (but it will not show up in UPS system until the next day, some people think they just give you the wrong tracking number but it has not been scanned into UPS tracking until later that night) fast, easy, looks great, they have a huge selection on silk flowers there

My friend used faux gerberas and they looked beautiful I really didn;t know they were not real. A co-worker of mine ordered her daughter’s flowers online already arranged, she told me that she got them in ebay. They were nice too.

no no no, silk flowers are hideous! if you HAVE to have them, you should make sure you see them in person before buying. check craft stores in your area, they usually sell that kind of stuff. I hate em and think you should pony up the money for real flowers but whatevs.

First off look around to make sure that silk flowers are cheaper than real flowers (if buying wholesale). I did alot of research as real flowers could be alot of money. After looking i realize that good quality silk flowers are not as cheap as I thought they were. Here’s an example for you. these are the centerpieces i’m going to have in my wedding

I am not sure what your budget is but I will tell you about something I discovered. If you want REAL roses go to Bigrose.com. I got 100 roses for $50, it was more than enough for me to make a big round bouquet for myself and 3 smaller bouquets for my bridesmaids. They delivered them to my hotel room, I made the bouquets with friends in about 40 minutes and stored them in a refrigerator until the next morning. They have some other flower varieties as well. The flowers looked great and were very fresh.

If you want flowers, buy less but buy them fresh, not silk. Wholesalers sell flowers much cheaper than $5 a flower, that’s ridiculous. You can buy an entire wedding in a box from a wholesaler like Grower’s Box for as little as $215 for the entire thing. You need to look around, fresh flowers are much cheaper than you may think and much nicer than silk or fake flowers. Flowers are a symbol of new life, why would you want fake ones to represent that?!
