Is one day before an event too late to order flowers?
March 62010
homecoming dance is tomorrow & my son, at the last minute needs me to special order green tipped white roses for his girl. Is it rude for me to ask the florist, who is the only one in town, to get this together for me?
It isn’t rude to ask, but they might not be able to accommodate you. I’d imagine most of the other kids in town ordered their flowers through this florist, also. Just don’t get your hopes up.

You can ask you are the customer but be aware that if its homecoming then he may have lots more orders to do if he is the only florist in town.

Its not rude. But you would think to give the florist a few days advanced notice, just in case the florist did not have what you are looking for he could order it. common courtesy

well since it is a specified kind of flower it may take some time to get it. some florists even order the flowers abroad and have them booked in advance and shipped on the day itself. its not rude but it would be a bit inconvenient if there are not any available.

Alot of florists offer same day service. If they can’t do it, they’ll let you know.

You should check with the florist. They will be able to tell you whether they can do it or not. If not, let it be a lesson to your son that he should make special requests with advance notice. In fact, you might want to have him call the florist instead of doing it yourself.
