i have a rose called guinee. only small white flowers this year.?

this rose had a beautiful deep red rose the first year, nothing last year and these flowers which look like hedgerow roses this year. what’s wrong?

It’s reverted.
Cultivated roses are usually grafted onto a briar root stock. You have to be careful not to let it grow from the base or the briar will take over.
Have a good look at it and see if there’s anything left of the cultivated rose – it will have bigger leaves. If there is, cut off everything else right back to the main stem – or if it’s growing out of the ground, back to the main root. If there isn’t, dig it up and use it for hedging.

Flowers include roses, Casablanca lilies, Asiatic lilies, hydrangeas, alstromeria, anemonies, heather, tulips, etc. Lots of different flowers, I can’t remember them all. I do know we are having no calla lilies and no carnations at the request of my fiance and I.

Is there a good product or a quick way to clean dried and silk floral arrangements? I have been cleaning out my mothers house, and there are about a million of these things and I have no idea how to get the dust off. I don’t want to have to take them all apart to do it. If I had my way, I would throw them all out, however, she wants to keep them. Any ideas?

just spray them with aerosol lysol…any areosol product will clean them…also if they are silk you can wash them like dishes in a dishwasher if you have one… just be gentle…I wash mine in my dishwasher on gentle cycle… and i only have a half million through my diswasher on gentle….it’s a breeze and they hold up…..trust it i have done it 3 times…lol 3 times a thousand…..

I work in an office, and there is this one girl who always gets the most enormous boquets of flowers "just because". She always makes a big to-do about it making sure everyone sees it and tells them it is from her "boyfriend". Do you think there are SOME girls who actually order the flowers and send to themselves? Me and some of my coworkers have our suspicions.

I want to dry fresh cut flowers for an arrangement. I need to know how this is done so they retain their color.

I found a very good site called gardenguides.com. They have very easy to follow instructions on how to dry flowers and keep their colors. Hope it helps.

My boyfriend lives a long way away, I want to do something sweet for him today, he has been having a bad day. Would it be strange to send him flowers, or do men appreciate them? What other ideas do you have?

Some guys do, but others like mine find it a useless waste of cash. If he’s a romantic guy who likes gifts and little tidbits that remind his space of you, then he may enjoy the flowers. But if he’s a practical guy who doesn’t really care for presents unless he chose it himself and he could use it, then sending him flowers might become a disappointing experience.

If I were you, I’d be more likely to send him a nice parcel with stuff he could use. Get a nice basket (or box) and fill it with a smiley face mug, box of hot chocolate sachets, toaster tarts, food bars, instant ramen, and a cute framed couple photo. You can easily pick these up as you do the groceries! That would light up the day of most guys even when they’re not a giftsy person, and definitely has a greater chance of success than flowers.

Your man must be lucky to have such a thoughtful girlfriend like you.

If you dont get an email, it didnt go through….
