I don’t see why not! Chrysanthemums are beautiful and I’m sure they’d be grateful. The colour is also appropriate as in their culture, white symbolises death but in a peaceful way, not in a morbid way. White flowers are very popular at Chinese funerals for this reason.

Where I live, most funeral homes take the flowers after the viewing to the church or wherever the funeral will be held, I have never heard of anyone sending flowers more than once.

A friend of the family passed away and I would like to send flowers to his widow but I don’t know how long I should wait or if I should wait at all. They aren’t having a funeral service. Depends. I would probably send or deliver in person a card and maybe a small bouquet immediately. Maybe a week or two later I would send or deliver another arrangement. My reason being that in the first several days there is a lot of attention given the to bereaved, then it tapers off and their loved one is still gone AND the additional support is gone too.
