Okay, my Girlfriend is going to be across the Country this Valentine’s Day, and I’ve been looking at some stuff from 1800Flowers.com, and I see some stuff I want to send her. Flowers will deliver it straight to her door, but I’m wanting to know if they’ll leave my name, or anything like that. On some of the stuff, I want it to say my name, while on others, I want it to say My Teddy Bear, and on some stuff, I don’t want my name at all. I greatly appreciate any help.

Call a florist directly in the town she will be staying in, the sooner the better. Let the florist know EXACTLY what you want delivered, if you arrange to send it a day earlier – even better.

When you use 1-800 Flowers, they take a percentage off the top – for doing nothing except forwarding your order to a florist, who may forward it again if there is not enough money for the flowers you have ordered.

Depending on how much you plan on spending, you will get FAR more flowers and better service if you call a local florist directly.

My friend is in the hospital and i want to deliver flowers to her. I dont really want to impose on her right now because shes busy with more than enough problems. Can nurse deliver them to her?

I live in Houston and my husband wants to send his sister flowers for her birthday tomorrow. We will contact a flower place from where she lives in Illinois. The cheapest flower delivery place is right around the corner from her home and charges $40. I was wondering if anyone knows of other deliverables that would also make great gifts. Maybe specific candy companies or something. Any answers are appreciated.

If the flower arrangement plus delivery totaled $40, that is pretty reasonable. If the delivery charges were $40 that is ridiculous. Delivery charges for on-line flower arrangements from Pro-floweres, 1-800 flowers and teleflora usually run between $15-20, sometimes they add a service charge Recently, I sent candy from NYS to Mass. Delivery charge was $12.

My Mum dies recently and I want it too look nice but can not always get up to visit it, any views on artificial flowers that look nice or firms that deliver..I see Interflora doesn’t.

Why don’t you telephone a small florist local to the area? Ask them to take a pic so you have something to hold onto to. You might have to pay a bit though and you can never be sure what they’ll deliver.

I think if you want artificial flowers it’s worthwhile making a trip just once — even for your own benefit — then they can stay there and you know they’re your choice. But getting a florist to deliver fresh flowers once in a while is a nice idea too.

Ok so I need to deliver flowers to Sri Lanka to my girlfriend and I ran into a site called http://www.flora2000.com/ They have amaazzzing lines of flowers and you select the country you want and they send them the next day you make the order. Problem is ….they dont accept paypal… Do any of you know of a site that is just as good or better AND accepts paypal? Thank you.

My wife’s base isn’t very strict, they let anyone in with an I.D., insurance and registration and destination. If not I’ll just order her pizza – knowing her she’ll like that better than the flowers. Or maybe pizza and flowers.

Every base/post has a flower shop… that will be the easiest way to do it. They’ll actually know where her company is, instead of the florist from town wandering around lost!
