Flowers

I am thinking about using some sort of flower as a centerpiece for a shower. I would like to give them to the bride to plant at their new home. I am going to use the small clay pots. Any idea what the best flower would be? I am clueless when it comes to this stuff so any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Go to your local Home Depot or garden store and ask what flowering plant would be best. Get something that is NOT an "annual". There are many choices out there, but not knowing where you live, suggesting certain plants is not good because it may not grow or thrive in your area.

Yesterday night I had a dream, I saw a flower sign on my palm as in the sign in palmistry. In the dream it tells me that the flower sign had only begin to appear a few days ago. The flower is not the small flower variety, it’s a big flower with big leaves. In reality there is no such big flower sign on my palm.What is the dream trying to tell me? Do you know what kind of flower it is? It could be a message that you are "blossoming" in some aspect of your life. You show your palm to people as a gesture of belonging and friendship. You can hold the world in the palm of your hand. I would say generally this message is a good sign that you are on the right path.

Look on line there are several services that will deliver fresh flowers to someone in China.
I have done it and it works well.

A friend of the family passed away and I would like to send flowers to his widow but I don’t know how long I should wait or if I should wait at all. They aren’t having a funeral service. If it means anything I’m closer to the widow than I was to her husband. Also he passed away of cancer so it was not a shock.

Depends. I would probably send or deliver in person a card and maybe a small bouquet immediately. Maybe a week or two later I would send or deliver another arrangement. My reason being that in the first several days there is a lot of attention given the to bereaved, then it tapers off and their loved one is still gone AND the additional support is gone too. Let them know you’re still thinking of them.

A woman that I like is directing a play that will open on Thursday. I know there are a lot of superstitions/etiquette that have to do with theater, so I was wondering if sending flowers would be appropriate. I don’t want to send them as a nice gesture and then be rebuked for poor form.

I’ve done a few productions as an actor and as a director. I know of no taboo against getting flowers before or after a show.
